Dr Britos-Bray's interest in pulmonary and critical care developed early during his medical training. He felt this specialty afforded a perfect balance between the fast pace experienced inside the hospital, in the intensive care unit, and the more relaxed setting of an outpatient pulmonary medicine practice which allows long-term relationships with his patients. After receiving his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, he underwent residency and fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Medicine and Internal Medicine. Shortly after finishing his training, he moved to the Tampa Bay region.
