While Melissa Morello, MD, was in college, her mother experienced a stroke. During this time, she realized a part of practicing medicine was not only treating a disease or condition, but also working with a patient to prevent it. The experience of her mother’s illness drew Dr. Morello to primary care. Today, she strives to provide you the best care by focusing on both treatment and prevention.
A board certified family medicine physician, Dr. Morello treats acute and chronic illnesses in patients ages six and older. Her areas of interest include women's health and pediatrics.
Dr. Morello earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. She completed her residency as part of AdventHealth's prestigious Family Medicine Allopathic Residency program, achieving the rank of Chief Resident and serving as residency association president. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine.
One of Dr. Morello's goals outside of medicine is to travel more. In the meantime, she's a fan of Harry Potter and the New York Yankees, and enjoys bike riding, jogging and cooking/eating good food.
